Description

Wanan dates

The Wanan date has a wrinkled skin, is very soft and resembles the Medjool date in its large size. It is our latest addition to our wide range of dates. The Wanan date is known for its slightly spicy and hardly sweet aroma, with a slight note of cinnamon.

It is perfect for cooking, for example to make vegan desserts, or as a healthy and 100% natural snack. It will delight young and old, employees, athletes and students!

It is preferable to keep them in the refrigerator or in the freezer since they are dates with soft flesh.

How should dates be stored and at what temperature are they most tasty?

Dates should always be stored in an airtight container so that they do not dry out. We recommend that you always keep dates in the freezer, if possible.

Soft dates (like Bawalini, Astaka, Sukari Soft)
– Always keep them cold, if possible in the freezer.

They taste best straight from the fridge or freezer, delicious and icy!

Semi-soft dates (like Medjool, Anbara, Sukari Chewy).
– Up to 5 months: Store in the refrigerator
– 5-12 months: Store in the freezer

Can be eaten cold or at room temperature.

Hard/solid dates (such as Mabroom, Safawi, Ajwa)
– Up to 1 month: Can be stored at room temperature
– Up to 5 months: Store in the refrigerator
– 5-12 months: Can be kept in the freezer

It is better to eat them at room temperature because otherwise they may be too hard.

Origin: Saudi Arabia

What is the recommended serving temperature for dates?

We recommend eating soft/juicy dates cold or even frozen. Chewy dates (like Mabroom, Khidri etc.) should be eaten at room temperature so they’re not too hard.
