What is Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
All extra virgin olive oils have a high oxidative stability, are rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, have a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants (polifenols), which directly reduce the risk of cholesterol concentration in the blood, gastrointestinal diseases, as well as inflammatory oncological diseases and also counteract the oxidation of the cells and are therefore a pillar of the Mediterranean diet.
Extra virgin olive oil (NOE) differs from conventional olive oil in several ways. The most distinctive feature is that it has a darker colour than conventional olive oil. The olive oils differ not only in appearance but also in taste, as NOE has a slightly fruitier flavour. This can be attributed to the low oleic acid content of the NOE, which allows more vitamins and minerals to be obtained from olives. In addition, our olive oil is unrefined and thus has not been treated with chemicals.
