Asian Rice Crackers Fried Oregano
Here comes the slightly lower-calorie version of crisps – our Asian rice crackers! The strong flavour of the soy sauce meets the mild taste of the natural rice crackers. The whole thing is rounded off by the tangy oregano powder and chilli powder, which is why the rice crackers are a little spicy.
What are the rice crackers used for?
The rice crackers are an excellent change from the usual snacks such as crisps, pretzel sticks etc. So they are perfect for a cosy evening on the couch, a picnic in the park, sunbathing in the open-air swimming pool or wherever you want. The rice crackers are also a crunchy addition to summer salads or in soups. Our Asian rice crackers also add a delicious, aromatic crunch to a cheese platter.
How is the rice actually made into rice crackers?
The rice is peeled and washed after harvesting and then cooked in large kettles. Then the rice rests for a while and the cooled rice is kneaded into rice cracker shapes. They are then baked in ovens and seasoned with their respective flavours.
