Goji berries – why superfood?
The goji berry is a fruit which has been consumed in China for a very long time and is called a superfood because of its properties. This can be attributed to a few points. For example, the berry has a high zinc content, which, among other things, helps with blemished skin. In addition to a high zinc content, the berries are also a real vitamin bomb. With several B vitamins and vitamin C, they provide strong nerves and a stable immune system. The fruit is also ideal for athletes, because they contain essential amino acids, which are necessary for muscle building. They are also a super source of iron. Per 100 grams, there is even more iron in goji berries than in a steak.
